On Photographing Dogs ~ I cherished the family dog that I grew up with and once again become a dog owner myselft in 2007. I met two dogs who were litter mates, feral and living in a shelter at Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO). I had gone to ARNO to volunteer after Hurricane Katrina and to photograph the aftermath of the storm. Learning about shelter dogs and how resilient and forgiving they are, caused me to fall in love with dogs and I took Jackie home in 2007 and his brother Jesse came home in 2008. Photographing dogs at ARNO sparked a need for me to help dogs at my local shelter and to photograph the beloved pets of families. Dogs just make you smile - and I love capturing the animal/human bond in photographs.

On Photographing People ~ I have been a professional photographer since 1999, photographing families, newborns, kids of all ages, high schools seniors, and business head shots. I enjoy connecting with people and watching their families grow and change throughout the years.
