Dog of the Month: Jake, Shelter Dog
Meet Jake! Jake is at Longmont Humane Society waiting to be adopted and needs some help finding his forever family. He is a favorite among the staff and volunteers due to his amazingly joyful, friendly and happy personality. He absolutely loves people including kids of all ages. In fact he was a model for LHS’s kids camp photography session in which the kids created chalk art scenery and Jake posed within the artful scenes. (See photos below).
Jake walks well on a leash and knows basic commands such as sit and shake hands. He loves toys, is playful, affectionate and goofy while he can also be chill and relaxed. Check out a video of Jake here.
He has been at LHS for quite awhile, having been surrendered, adopted and returned at no fault of his own. It’s been a little tough finding the right home for Jake because he is 8 years old, 86 pounds and needs to be the only pet in the home. He is not crazy about cats and other dogs. But he loves people with all his heart. If you know anyone that may be interested in Jake, please forward this information to help him find a home. He can be found on Longmont Humane Society’s website. Thank you!!
