Meiko is our Dog of the Month!

I've been photographing Meiko for years.  He belongs to a friend of mine so I get to photograph him often. She adopted Meiko over 14 years ago when he was nine months old from Humane Society of Boulder Valley.  He was found as a stray out on East Arapahoe Ave. in Boulder and no one ever claimed him.

Meiko, an Australian Sheppard, is always smiling, and squinting, maybe to make his smile even larger.  He's a super happy guy who goes with the flow and loves hanging out at home with his mom and fur brother Quinn (see photos below), taking walks, riding in his doggie stroller, sleeping in the back of the car (hood up),  and taking a dip in the creek.  He loves other cats and dogs and even hangs out with the resident guinea pig.

Meiko is now 15 years old, slowing down and showing other signs of his age.  His mom says:  "My heart is full with Meiko by my side, he IS my heart.  There is no other better companion than him. He is one in a million!".
