Have you always wanted to have your dog professionally photographed but haven’t done so because you think it won’t work out?

Around 75% of people who want to have their dog photographed but have not done so yet, say it’s for one or both of these two reasons:

1. My dog would never cooperate for a session because he is too (insert adjective here: energetic, hyper, shy, nervous).

2. My dog has to stay on leash and I don’t want photos with the leash in them.

Well, I got you covered! These reasons are easily overcome.

If you look through the photos on my website or Facebook and Instagram, none of those dogs are professional models. They are everyday dogs that belong to everyday people.

Having photographed over 3,500 dogs, I have photographed dogs of all behavior and energy levels from super energetic with no training to super shy and nervous. I’ve even had dogs that no one even knew was afraid of the sound of the camera shutter! My 15 years of experience working with dogs in the shelter as well as my client’s dogs has taught me how to successfully photograph dogs on any level. I've never met a dog I couldn't photograph and produce beautiful, artful images.

I have lots of tricks to get your dogs attention and I adapt my approach to your dog based on your dog’s personality and needs. My camera is high end professional and can freeze action for dogs who don’t stop moving. I have long lenses for dogs who need space from strangers. And, I am all about being patient.

Many of the dogs on my website were on leash. Even if dogs can be off leash, sometimes I keep them on leash for safety reasons. I can magically remove the leash in Photoshop!

So, if you have been thinking about getting your dog photographed but were worried for these reasons, worry no more. I’ve got you covered! I know your dog can handle this. And, they will even have fun!

If you have any other roadblocks, just give me a call or send me an email and we can discuss. See below for examples of fast moving dogs and images in which the leash was removed.
